# Event Details - **Event Name**: The 73rd Greeley Park Art Show - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 29 Aug, 2026 at 10:00 am – Sat, 29 Aug, 2026 at 04:00 pm (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Wander, browse and soak it all in during this lively two-day long art show where fresh work, creative energy, and plenty of beautiful surprises await you around every turn! The Nashua Area Artists Association will be holding its 73rd annual Greeley Park Art Show, a two-day outdoor juried art show, on Aug. 29 and 30, 2025 that will bring the beloved, beautiful and historic Greeley Park in Nashua N.H. to life! The show is open to artists 18 and older working in two- and three-dimensional media. There will be more than 56 artists on hand, from painters and photographers to woodworkers, showing their work and holding demonstrations, from around the region. New this year are more local live musicians and music students performing on both days. Art awards will be given in several categories: 3D, acrylic, drawing/illustration, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, watercolor, digital art, in addition to Best in Show (the winner will have work placed on view at ArtHub, the NAAA gallery, with an artist’s reception) and Viewer's Choice. Prizes - monetary and non-monetary for the adults and the children’s art contest is judged by age with great prizes. Each year, visitors enjoy seeing their favorite artists they’re familiar with and seeing their new work, while also discovering new artists. The artists and visitors come mostly from New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Attendance varies depending on the weather, sometimes the event draws thousands of visitors! The GPAS started out first with artists hanging their work outside on a picket fence. Now artists set up their 10'x10' tents, each its own unique “microgallery.” The art show gives artists a chance to see what everyone is working on, get inspired, and connect with visiting art-lovers. It’s a great chance to meet local working artists and buy real, local, hand-made art. And the show is a whole lot of fun! Show co-organizer Vicky Tkaczevski said, "An outdoor art fair is a lot of fun, a chance to enjoy the summer weather and see real live artists that still make things by hand. We have 56 artists signed up to display their work, including painters, woodworkers, photographers, and more. Several musicians will perform. Artists will be doing live demonstrations. This year we have received many donations from area businesses and artists for our ever-popular raffles, the art competition for adults promises to be a great show on Saturday, and we expect many entrants into the kids' competition on Sunday. There will be games and art-related activities for kids. Thanks to the Nashua Arts Commission for their generous grant toward this event." Art can bring people together and create special experiences and moments. Tkaczevski recalled a wonderful moment from last year’s show. “Surprising things happen at these art shows. You meet the people you made your art for. Last year I exhibited a painting of giraffes on the Serengeti. While I was doing it, I strongly felt like there ought to be the Taj Mahal in the clouds, just subtly, but floating there. So I painted it. A young lady came to my booth and she was drawn right to that painting. ‘Do you like giraffes?’ I asked. ‘I love giraffes’, she said, ‘and my nickname is Taj Mahal.’” Perfect! (see attached photo) In addition to the artists and their works, some of whom will also be working on pieces and demonstrating what they do during the show, there are many other activities planned, including but not limited to: - Live music throughout the weekend by local musicians and music students – NEWLY expanded this year - A marionette show for kids - Lawn games and activities for kids this year including rock painting, artmaking, story hour, corn hole, giant Jenga, a life size Connect Four game, and more! - Raffles – an eclectic mix of art, artifacts, and gift certificates from generous area donors - Artist demonstrations all weekend - On Saturday, adult art awards will be announced. On Sunday, NAAA will award scholarships to high school students who intend to pursue degrees in art.
