Are you looking for an alternative that keeps you in control of what you see, what it does, and what you want shared with the world? A free, Open Source Linux desktop Operating System might be the perfect fit. You can use the vast majority of tools you use today - Web Browsers, graphics, document editing, even CAD and software development - all for FREE, in an environment that's in your control!This is a four week class that will meet weekly on 4 consecutive Wednesdays from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm: October 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.This class is open only to members. Please bring a laptop.The student wil receive a USB boot image that you can take with you. This will allow you to boot into your own Linux image without disrupting any existing software on your computer.Please note that at this time our classroom is not fully ADA accessible.
