Step into a full day of real-life scent detection in some of the most breathtaking landscapes in West Wales.
Scent Seekers: Preseli Edition is a gently paced experience designed for handlers who want something special. Dramatic sceneries, varied search environments, and a chance to enjoy a proper day out with their dogs.
We’ll be travelling in convoy, exploring three distinct locations across the Preselis:
Quarry – atmospheric slate, layers and structures
The Mountain Pass – wide, wild air with open search areas and rugged landscape
The Coastal Dunes – a beautiful stretch on the beach amongst the sandy dunes
Each location offers something different for the dogs, and the day is as much about the experience as the searching.
What the Day Looks Like:
We begin by meeting at the car park behind Tafarn Sinc in Rosebush, before heading to our first search area:
🔹 Stop 1 – Rosebush Quarry A striking backdrop of slate, stone and natural contours. Perfect for motivational searches, practice and confidence building, getting the dogs into their rhythm.
🔹 Stop 2 – The Preseli Mountain Pass Beautiful open space, interesting terrain, and natural features. A wonderful chance to work odour outdoors in a truly dramatic setting.
🔹 Stop 3 – Coastal Dunes Soft sand, dunes and sea breeze make this a brilliant real-world search.
We move through the day at a relaxed pace, giving plenty of time to settle, search, walk, take in the views, and enjoy the journey.

This isn’t a “first ever search” workshop, it’s designed for dogs with some foundation in place so they can enjoy the adventure fully. If you're unsure whether it’s the right level, just ask.
