🎯 What You’ll Learn & Experience
This workshop pairs two complementary approaches:
Color with Steve McCurry
Discover how color can carry narrative weight. Steve will help you see and use chromatic relationships—contrast, harmony, saturation—to evoke emotion, define tension, and direct the viewer’s gaze.
Monochrome with Eolo Perfido
Shift into a black-and-white mindset: learn to see beyond color, and structure images through tone, texture, contrast, and gesture. Explore how form, light, shadow, and negative space can convey depth and drama.
Together, these perspectives equip you to decide—on the fly—whether a scene belongs in color or monochrome, and to execute with intention.
You’ll be working across Naples’ many faces: the narrow, bustling alleys of Spaccanapoli, street markets, coastal views, striking architecture, and everyday life in motion.
As part of the workshop experience, each participant will also be photographed by Steve McCurry—and receive that portrait as a memento.
