After graduating from West Catholic Girls' High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Christine worked at the United States Social Security Administration from 1973 to 1979.She started her 31-year career with the United Nations in 1979. Christine was a single mother to her daughter and the wife of a United Nations diplomat.
