Whimsical comedy about two friends whose simple lives take an extraordinary turn after a misunderstanding leads others to believe they are suddenly wealthy.

Sergio, a carpenter, and Sabrina, an unsuccessful singer, have a long-time affair, but they are unable to leave their partners and continue living in modest circumstances.

One day, Sergio’s colleagues, seeking revenge for his pranks, make him believe that he has won a billion-euro lottery.

Without a second thought, he walks out on his wife, bringing with him not only Sabrina but also their loved ones. Later, he discovers the painful truth, but it’s too late for a U-turn, and he puts together a charade, dragging their families on a journey to the south of Italy. But a lie never lives to be old… (English subtitles)
