Singer, writer and actress Lauren Fox returns to Daniels Pavilion with Groupies: The Muses Behind the Legends of Rock & Roll, a bold and poignant tribute to the women who ignited the creativity of some of rock’s most legendary artists. More than just fans, groupies like Pamela Des Barres and Michelle Overman, and muses like Pattie Boyd and Marianne Faithfull became integral to the music, image and mythology of rock’s golden era. Through powerful live performances of iconic songs and dramatic readings from memoirs and interviews, Fox brings their voices to the forefront—exploring their influence, their stories and their place in music history. Both reverent and revealing, Groupies shines a spotlight on the women behind the curtain—and the unforgettable songs they helped inspire.
