About the event
November Birding Hike
Join us for our November hike around one of Will County’s up and coming birding hotspots- Whalon Lake! In recent years this lake has become a popular winter stopover for ducks, geese, grebes, loons and even gulls and various raptors. We will meet at the pavilion next to the boat launch at 9am.
The walk will be on a paved bikeway. It is usually cold and windy so please dress accordingly. Scopes and binoculars for long-distance viewing of birds on the lake are recommended.
Free and open to the public. No registration required. Any questions can be emailed to WCAS Field Trip Chair Kara Morales at a2FyYW1vcmFsZXM3MjcgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ==
