Danielle O'Dell, Director of Research at Nantucket Conservation Foundation, and Emily Goldstein Murphy PhD, Director of Environmental & Agricultural Resources at the Nantucket Islands Land Bank, will discuss local and regional impacts of the Southern Pine Beetle. They will provide examples of preventative habitat management that local conservation organizations are currently undertaking to increase the resilience of their pitch pine forests in the face of this destructive threat.
