Spare Skin,  c’est une musique-exutoire, pour exorciser les colères, les injustices, les choses qu’on n’arrive pas à dire au quotidien.
Mais c’est aussi une musique de joie cathartique, convoquant des intonations vocales à la PJ Harvey,  un esprit et une instrumentation flirtant avec un punk-shoegaze 90's à la Title Fight, ou encore la noise/riot grrrl à la Amyl and the Sniffers, tant dans son second degré, ses thèmes féministes que ses rythmes tantôt déconstruits, lourds, dansants.
