Originaire de Los Angeles, Primitive Ring réunit 3 des plus fines lames de la scène rock de la cité des Anges : Charles Moothart (compagnon de route de Ty Segall, Fuzz, Gøggs), Bert Hoover (Hooveriii) et Jon Modaff (Frankie and the Witch 
Fingers).  Autant dire que nous n’avons pas à faire ici à un énième power trio, mais à 3 compositeurs hors pair, qui savent y faire comme personne en matière de rock viscéral.
Après une série de singles remarqués sur des labels tels qu’In the Red, Fuzz Club, ou encore Reverberation Appreciation Society, le groupe sort en mai 2026 un premier album qui dépasse toutes les attentes entre garage rock sauvage, riffs proto-metal et énergie brute.
A l’occasion d’une 1ère tournée européenne qui les verra passer par le Ferrailleur le 19 février prochain, Primitive Ring s’impose, c’est sûr, comme l’un des nouveaux visages brûlants de l’underground californien.
