Establishing a surrealist sound using futuristic synths across three albums, they disbanded at the end of the decade, reuniting for their first US tour in 2023 (over 30 years since their split), after having their songs sampled by Tricky and Madlib. >> KaS PRODUCT Né à Nancy au début des années 80, KaS Product s’est imposé comme l’un des pionniers majeurs de la cold wave française. Le duo iconique formé par Mona Soyoc et Spatsz a façonné un son immédiatement reconnaissable : rythmiques minimales, synthés nerveux, tension électrique, et la voix magnétique de Mona. Leurs albums Try Out, By Pass et Ego Eye ont marqué toute une génération et sont devenus des références incontournables de la scène new wave européenne. Après le décès de Spatsz en 2019, beaucoup pensaient la page définitivement tournée. Pourtant, Mona a choisi de prolonger l’histoire en réinventant le groupe. KaS Product Reload naît alors sous la forme d’un trio composé de : • Mona Soyoc (voix, guitare) • Thomas Bouetel (machines, claviers) • Pierre Corneau (basse, ex-Marc Seberg) Cette nouvelle formation redonne une force organique et contemporaine au projet tout en respectant son ADN originel. En 2025 sort Reloaded, premier album studio du groupe depuis près de quarante ans. Porté par une production affûtée, une énergie scénique renouvelée et une écriture à la fois sombre et lumineuse, l’album reçoit un accueil très chaleureux du public comme des médias. KaS Product retrouve les scènes avec un set intense où les classiques (« Never Come Back », « So Young And So Cold ») se mêlent à des compositions neuves qui confirment la pertinence et la vitalité du groupe aujourd’hui, une énergie contemporaine, prouvant que le groupe est bien en pleine renaissance. Le trio prépare déjà un nouvel album pour fin 2026 et présentera de nouveaux titres dès le printemps.
