? Formé à Séoul en 2003, Hollow Jan compte parmi les pionniers du screamo coréen (post-hardcore émotionnel). Dès ses débuts, le groupe refuse les catégories faciles — mariant l'ampleur lyrique et les atmosphères en lente montée du post-rock à une dynamique écrasante, une catharsis hurlée et une approche progressive de la structure.

Leur premier album, "Rough Draft in Progress" (2006), remporte le prix du Meilleur album rock aux Korean Music Awards (2008) et reste l'un des disques les plus intenses de l'histoire indé coréenne. "Day Off" (2014) élargit leur spectre ; l'EP "Confusion" (2023) signe un retour féroce, nommé au Meilleur album metal & hardcore. Leurs deux premiers albums ont été réédités en Europe par Dog Knights Productions.

Vingt ans après, Hollow Jan demeure une référence pour toute une génération de groupes heavy coréens — et s'engage en reversant chaque année une partie de ses recettes à Save the Children.

En août 2026, le groupe fait ses débuts en France : Rouen (14/08), Motocultor Festival (15/08), Nantes, Le Ferrailleur (17/08) et Paris, au Supersonic (18/08).
