Kaitlyn:
"In 2004, my friend said “I’m going swing dancing” and I said “not without me!” … the rest is history!
After a stint in lindy, salsa, and blues, I found a sense of home in West Coast Swing about 13 years ago. I’ve been so fortunate as a dance learner, getting to work with some of the best coaches in the world, take lessons across North America, and dive deep into the technical nuance of this dance.
As a teacher, I love supporting learners to find freedom of movement and expression on their side of the partnership (regardless of how much experience they have on the dance floor). I know that at its best, dance can help us become more connected and interconnected, draw from a wider range of options, and feel more at home in ourselves and the world.
I teach using degendered language and love to welcome folks from a broad range of identities to the dance floor."
