How to Live Fully in the Moment: Our Precious Human Life
With the stress of daily life and chaos in the world, it is easy to become lost in nostalgic thoughts about a better past or to live in fear of our perceived future sufferings. The past and the future is where we spend so much of our mental time, but this is not a strategy for happiness, only for distraction. We should recognize that our precious human life is taking place right now. We are a spiritual traveller, and now is not the time to wish away our life.
As Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso said, “We should know that at present we have reached the human world for just a brief moment from our former lives, and we have the opportunity to attain the supreme happiness of enlightenment through practicing Dharma. This is our extraordinary good fortune.”
Join us for a 4 day retreat that will awaken a passion for taking the essence of each moment of our life. Through bringing together aspects of Buddha’s teachings on karma, impermanence, and the transformative power of our own mind, Gen Zopa will guide us through meditations that will leave you feeling more inspired, grateful, and spiritually connected.
Everyone welcome. During this retreat, we will have an opportunity to improve both the quality of our meditation (technique) and the quality of our understanding of Dharma.
