? JOIN US: in cheering on Quinn as he takes on an incredible challenge — running 20 kilometers across Nanaimo via E & N pathway to raise funds for "KIDS" at the Nanaimo Child Development Centre (NCDC).

?QUINN'S REASON FOR RUNNING? 

Quinn’s journey with the NCDC began when he was a child. Some of his earliest memories include being part of NCDC groups, going on field trips, and feeling accepted for who he was.

“It was a safe place to be me — I didn’t have to mask. I could just belong.”

Now, years later, Quinn is giving back to the Centre that supported his early growth and helped him build social skills and confidence. As someone who has lived with ASD, Quinn says the NCDC helped him make friends, understand others, and find his footing in the world.

Today, running has become his passion — and he’s turning that passion into purpose.

“I’ve been training for this most of my life through sports, cross country, taekwondo, and kickboxing. Now, I’m ready to put it all together for something that means so much to me.”

Quinn is training hard with running up 10 to 15 km at a time as he builds toward his big day, works out at the Nanaimo Boxing Club, and adds in swimming to his training to help him strengthen his cardio for the long run.
