ARTIST STATEMENT
Kevin Jesuino is a queer artist whose practice is rooted in Socially Engaged Art through performance and media. His rigorous, layered and co-creative process centers the embodied exchange of care, using performance and movement to intentionally blur the line between performer and participant. At its core, the work acts as a vital counter to isolation, building empathy and modelling collective will to highlight our profound interconnectivity. Jesuino's perspective aims to queer dominant perceptions by interrogating how restrictive systems stifle intimacy and belonging. He exposes the unperceived complexity of nature and human life, challenging simplistic narratives. His art is a critical tool for shaping a more just and interdependent future through creative resistance.
