IntAct 2025: "(Re)animated"
We are back with the 7th edition of IntAct Festival 2025 with the theme "(Re)animated" will be held during 18th - 21st December 2025 at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Bacc หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร
(Re)animated—a reflection on how historical materials, artistic traditions, and sonic identities are revived, reinterpreted, and transformed in contemporary practice. This year's curation challenges the boundaries between past and present: Is today's new music truly new, or merely a reanimation of historical fragments? How do artists engage with archival materials, analog forms, and cultural memory to shape modern artistic expression? What impact does this process have on today's society, and how does it redefine the role of art in an age where the digital and physical worlds converge?
Through these questions, (Re)animated invites a critical discourse on artistic evolution—examining the fluid interplay between tradition and innovation, material and technology, belief and reinvention. The festival will bring together artists, composers, and performers from across generations, creating a dynamic intersection of past legacies and future possibilities.
This year the festival will present over 60 works and performances by composers, artists, guest ensembles from around the world, featuring 8 concerts, art exhibitions, artist workshops, and more.
