This 3-hour CE workshop trains teachers to offer assists and adjustments through a trauma-informed lens, with consent, choice, and student agency at the center of every interaction. A trauma-informed approach means touch is never assumed, and student choice is always part of the assist.

Participants will learn when touch is useful, when it is not, and how to make verbal cueing and non-contact support a primary part of their teaching. Every demo models the full consent process — asking before touch, offering a low-pressure way to say yes or no, and staying attentive to a student's response throughout the assist.

Teachers will practice hands-on assists in standing poses, forward folds, backbends, twists, and selected inversions, along with verbal assists that support a wide range of bodies and needs.

3 CE hours toward your Yoga Alliance renewal. Open to 2C teachers and guest teachers. Space is limited
