Nairobi has some fantastic venues that host New Year events every year. That includes New Year celebrations in five-star hotels in Nairobi, events in various party plots and restaurants, and multiple concerts and fireworks at public places in Nairobi.
Here are some locations which are hosting New Year events this year.
Nairobi is a wonderful place this time of the year, with decked Christmas trees, kids enjoying their holidays and everybody in a great mood! For those looking to spend their New Year in the capital of Kenya, there’s so much you can do - from a road trip to fireworks and dance parties, the city has it all. The Moshi Road Trip is happening this year around and features a three day trip, starting on December 29th. The trip takes you from Nairobi to the historical city of Moshi. On the first day, you meet up at International Life House and depart by 6 AM. There will be a few stopovers for photo sessions. After reaching Arusha, you can enjoy a few refreshments and later have dinner at the Park Inn View Hotel.
At Moshi, you could do a nice Hot Springs tour along with traditional lunch, cooked fresh and served hot. You also get to enjoy the Moshi city tour and visit the popular heritage sites before ending the night with a fun night party. End the road trip with a pass via Kilimanjaro Gate and Marangu falls.
There is also a bonfire party you could take part in with the camping trip in Sagana. The trip starts at 7 AM at Kencom before arriving at Napoleon’s camp. You can then hike for an hour before relaxing at the scenic spot where you get to click photos. There are also many biking and water activities around to take part in.
There are also bonfires and a traditional Mbuzi Choma dinner along with a nightlife party where you get to ring in 2019 as well. The next day starts with breakfast before a river plunge, river swims and some fun swimming till lunch time. Post lunch, you get to depart back to the capital. The Wasafi festival featuring some of the best artists is also happening at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi. Some prominent artists will be performing including the likes of Mbosso, Harmonize, Diamond Platinumz, Rayvanny, LavaLava, Queen Darleen and many more!
