Prepare yourself for a new mountain bike adventure to Lake elementaita. This is a 38.5km bike tour that takes you around the wonderful attractions around Gilgil town and and the green lake.
On this adventure loaded tour, you will cycle through Soysambu and Delamere ranches, get to view hundreds of zebras, Thompson gazelles, baboons and antelopes at close proximity as they graze and wander freely on the vast open grasslands.
Further ahead as you cycle across the shores of the lake you will take in the spectacular views of the rolling hills from the horizon, the Sleeping warrior, Ugali hills and the wide blue skies against the lake.
The lake teems with a rich diversity of birdlife, most notably flamigos, herons, pelicans, storks etc.
Moving forward beyond the lake, the tour takes you through Gilgil town, Kenya army barracks, NYS college.
Kariandusi Archeological Museum will be the next stop. Get a glimpse of the life of the early man the evolution and view the actual site where the first stone tools were unearthed by archeologist Dr Leakey.
The bike event ends at the luxurious Elementaita Country Lodge with a sumptuous lunch buffet and a short walk along the shores.
