Loblolly Model Train Display Veterans Day Open House

This Veterans Day weekend, Nacogdoches Historic Sites invites the community to the Loblolly Model Train Display: Veterans Day Open House at the Nacogdoches Railroad Depot (101 Old Tyler Rd.). This special event, free to the public, will take place on Friday, 10am to 6pm, Saturday, 10am to 6pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.

The Loblolly Model Train Display will come to life with a moving military-themed exhibit, featuring trains representative of the equipment and personnel transported during World War II in both the European and Pacific theaters of operation. This unique exhibit offers visitors a chance to explore the crucial role of railroads in wartime logistics.

Also featured for Veterans Day, we will have a pop up exhibit in the small waiting room called "Texas America 250". This panel display will share the story of the Lone Star State over the past 250 years.
