A meeting between experimental theatre and Circling. We explore the potential for effortless being by practicing how to get out of our own way and letting ourselves be guided into connection.

There are seaweeds standing on the bottom of the ocean floor. Stretching lankily towards the sun above the surface, they grow tall and green. They move together, in a strange dance. What moves them cannot be seen, but its existence cannot be denied.
Simillarily, in humankind, there are currents that move us. Forces beyond our perception, that live inside and outside of us.
How can we attune to these currents of life?
How can we perceive, and embody that which truly moves us?
How can we step out of our own way, and let life happen through us?
-----------------------------------
What to expect
The two methods we’ll be using to explore this are experimental theatre and circling. It is the synthesis of these two practices that will be our vessel. During the workshop we will be practicing:
Freeing the impulse – Much of the creative expression occurs through our spontaneity in the moment. When we let it happen without judgment or analysis, our authentic creativity can come to the forefront.
Making use of the Inspiration – How can a naked foot stepping on rain-soaked grass become fuel for our own expression? A look, a scent, a word. Everything can be used. When we make ourselves available for the world, the world makes itself available to us.
Listening to the room – How can we approach any environment with curiosity and self-leadership? An empty stage, a serious conversation with a friend or a family dinner. What do these rooms ask of us?
Being in contact with the body – To continuously deepen our listening, we need to fine-tune the instrument that the body is. We find the ways that work best for each one of us.
We recorded a zoom conversation we had about the event and you can see it on youtube if you are interested in hearing about our vision and inspiration:

Price
The suggested price for the event is 150 euro.
We hold an intention of wanting everyone to be able to participate, regardless of income situation. If you find that the regular price is too high for you, you can choose a price that feels honoring of the work while possible for you to pay.
If on the other hand, the suggested price feels very cheap (if you are thinking that this event can’t be high quality, because of the price, this is for you), we would appreciate it if you would pay a bit more. This will also help us support those, who are not able to pay the suggested price.

Facilitators
Peter Munthe-Kaas
I am a Stockholm based researcher, body therapist, coach and workshop facilitator. I am interested in practices that support me and others in relating and listening better and believe that the ability to relate to myself, others, society and nature is key to living a happy life in service of what is good in the world.
Max Mo Katz
My name is Max Mo Katz. I have danced my whole life, studied theater for part of it, and have spent the last ten years learning ways to live through the body, with tools such as Qi gong, meditation, martial arts, somatic experiencing, body-focused therapies and more. A big part for me in embodied living is relational. How I relate to other bodies; human, animal, nature. Finding out what it means to be part of a bigger whole. Excited to explore that together.
