# Event Details

- **Event Name**: GMCCI Ribbon Cutting - Muscatine Community College
- **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 19 Oct, 2026 at 03:00 pm – Mon, 19 Oct, 2026 at 04:00 pm (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: One of EICC's oldest buildings on the Muscatine campus has a new look - and we'd love for you to see it.

Join us for the Gaekle Hall Ribbon Cutting!

After a major renovation, Gaekle Hall is once again welcoming students with larger classrooms, updated technology and more room to learn by doing.
Come inside, tour the newly renovated spaces and see what’s new. You’ll get a closer look at learning spaces for horticulture, information technology, teacher preparation, and gaming simulation and development.
For students, the changes mean more room to work together, tackle hands-on projects, and build skills using the technology and tools they’ll encounter in their future careers. The renovation also creates even more opportunities for area high school students to get an early start through EICC's Career Academies.
None of it would be possible without the partners who believe in our students and our community. We’re grateful for the support of the Iowa Department of Education, Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust, HNI Foundation and MCC Foundation.
We hope you’ll join us as we open the doors to Gaekle Hall’s next chapter.
Sincerely,

Naomi DeWinter, EdD
