Sweet Renaissance Choir

Sweet Renaissance, as the name suggests, is an cappella ensemble that loves the depth, devotion and beauty of early music. At Flourish Sanctuary on Sunday, December 7 at 12:00 they will be offering a luminous program of Christmas music that will probably be fresh to many listeners. Their set includes English, Latin, German and Spanish gems from the early Renaissnace through to the Baroque and beyond, including a richly harmonised work from Praetorius, the sublime O Magnum Mysterium by Vittoria, a joyful Spanish call and response piece - all culminating in the German favourite In Dulci Jubilo finishing with J.S. Bach's radiant take on it. It’s a rare chance to experience these timeless pieces performed live in the acoustic warmth of the Temple, inviting listeners into a serene and uplifting pre-Christmas atmosphere. There is no ticketing for this event.
