- **Event Description**: *****PLEASE NOTE: After many requests from the public, the time of this year’s service has been scheduled to take place at 10:45AM to coincide with the Armistice agreement signed in Paris on Monday, 11 November 1918 at 0500 hours and the ceasefire which went into effect at 1100 hours the same morning.

Please join us at 10:45AM at the Murray Harbour Cenotaph to pause and remember the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country.  

The service will be held outside, rain or shine, and will include the laying of wreaths. As in years past, the youth and young families from the area will be leading the service.

Should you be laying a wreath in recognition of your loved one, please contact (via text or phone) Carol White at 902 962 2139, email carolirenewhite@gmail.com or through Facebook messenger/Jackie MacNeill Doiron at 902 626 5580, email at edandjackie@eastlink.ca or through Facebook messenger.  If at all possible, if you can notify us prior to the service on November 11 to add the name of your love one to our list of wreaths to be laid.

At the conclusion of the service, we encourage you to visit the memorial garden where trees in memory of the 14 service soldiers from the area who paid the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives during World War I and World War II were planted last year.  As well, please feel free to visit the Community Centre to listen to some “war time” music and come together to honour the lives of our service men and women.
