Do you have a cat or kitten you need to surrender? Our Ready-Set-Go Program provides entry to our busy adoption program, free medical care, and a safe way to place your cats or kittens in loving adoptive homes. 

📍 Location: 8459 Old Hwy 13, Murphysboro
📅 When: Tuesdays, 10 AM – 11 AM | No appointment needed

How the Program Works:
1. Arrival & Evaluation: Bring your cat or kitten during intake hours. Our veterinarian will complete a free medical and behavioral evaluation to ensure each animal is healthy and ready for the program.
2. Ready-Set-Go Contract: If approved, you’ll sign a simple Ready-Set-Go surrender agreement so the animal can safely enter the program.
3. Medical Care & Support: All cats and kittens in the program receive free medical care, including vaccinations and basic health checks.
4. Food Assistance: We provide free food if needed between surrender and when the animal is accepted into the program.
5. Program Duration: Cats and kittens stay with you until they are ready for adoption. Typically this will be 14 days. Kittens under 2.5 lbs will remain in your care until they reach 2.5 lbs and have been held for 14 days.

Program Intake Requirements:
- Age: 2–12 months
- Weight: 2 lbs or greater
- Temperament: Friendly
- Health: Healthy
- Admission space for up to 25 each week. First come/qualified. 

The Ready-Set-Go Program ensures your cat or kittens enters a safe, supportive environment where they receive care, attention, and the best chance for a loving forever home.

If your cat or kitten is denied admission to the program based on a minor treatable medical condition they will be offered treatment at a reduced fee and another intake opportunity when symptoms are resolved. Cats and kittens must be friendly and handleable.
