Sierra Circus Camp is a sole proprietorship run by locally raised circus artist, Erin Stephens, and has been serving Highway 4 youth for five summers, passing the joy of circus from local professional artists to the next generation. This summer, Sierra Circus Camp is leading beginner and advanced camps over two weeks in Murphys. Both Murphys camps will showcase their acts in this magical night of art and talent!
The Sierra Circus non-profit was established in 2023 as a charitable partner to Sierra Circus Camp to organize events and raise funds to support circus arts and education in Calaveras County and its surrounding areas, as well as in Burkina Faso, Africa.
This year’s fundraising show aims to nurture and support this growing art form for our local youth. Funds raised will support the future of Sierra Circus Camp by funding the start-up of a camp scholarship program and new infrastructure investments, including new shade structures, circus apparatuses and props.
