- **Event Description**: As part of Munster's National Night Out pre-events, the Munster Police Department will be holding a Bike Safety Rodeo on Saturday, August 2nd from 10:00am-11:30am at Frank Hammond Park.  This event is for children up to 12 years of age ONLY who are asked to bring their bicycles with them, and FREE HELMETS will be made available courtesy of SafeKids NWI to any kids who need them.

Participants, who should check-in with Choice Community Council volunteers at the shelter in the middle of the park upon arrival, will be able to register their bicycles with the police department, learn bicycle safety tips, and enter a FREE DRAWING for a $200 GIFT CARD towards a new bicycle sponsored by the Munster Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #147.  The event will conclude with a ride around the track with an office and other Choice Community Council volunteers.
