Was auf den ersten Blick wie eine klassische Blues-Rock-Kombo wirkt, entfaltet sich zu einem beeindruckend vielschichtigen Klangbild, das irgendwo zwischen Rock, Alternative und Pop beheimatet ist.
Die Geschichte der Band beginnt im Jahr 2011, als sich die beiden Kindheitsfreunde Tarek Jafar (Gesang und Gitarre) und Justin Tessier (Schlagzeug) dazu entschließen, gemeinsam Musik zu machen. Inspiriert von Größen wie The White Stripes oder The Black Keys, veröffentlichen sie zunächst zwei EPs: „The Blue Stones EP“ (2011) und „How’s That Sound?“ (2012). Ihr Debütalbum „Black Holes“ erscheint zunächst 2015 in Eigenregie, und wird nach einem Plattenvertrag mit eOne Music 2018 offiziell neu aufgelegt. Das Album wird ihr internationaler Durchbruch – der raue, ehrliche Ton der beiden Kanadier findet schnell viele Fans.
