Part of the experience is to stay curious, follow the trail and discover what comes next.THE ESSENTIALSMeeting point8:30 Ostbahnhof (exact location to be shared two days before event).Expected finish16:00 - 17:00 Uhr (at Ostbahnhof, depending on train connection)Distance & elevation13 km / 160 elevation gainDifficultyEasy to moderate. Most paths are straightforward, but some sections are narrow, muddy or uneven. Expect roots, branches and sections close to the river where you’ll need to watch your step.What to wearDress appropriately for the weather and bring a rain jacket. There is no shelter along the route. A towel might be useful.ShoesTrail-running shoes or light hiking shoes with a good profile. No sneakers. Your feet may get wet and dirty.Food & waterBring enough food and water for the entire day. There is no opportunity to refill your bottle or buy food along the way.ToiletsThere are no toilets along the route. The first available toilets are at our final stop. So feel comfortable in nature.DISCONNECT TO RECONNECTThis hike is designed to help us disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with what is around us.Throughout the hike, we’ll introduce small prompts around orientation, perception, reflection and connection. They might invite you to pay closer attention to your surroundings, find your own way, notice things you would normally overlook, reflect on your experience or connect with the people walking beside you.There is no right or wrong way to approach them. They are simply invitations to slow down, be present and experience the outdoors differently.GOING OFFLINEAt the beginning of the hike, phones will be placed in individually labelled bags and securely carried by the event team. Our guides will retain access to emergency phones and navigation throughout the day.Parts of the route are remote, and there is no planned opportunity to leave the hike early or access public transport along the way.Come prepared.
