Jedes Jahr demonstrieren auf der PolitParade Tausende für gleiche Rechte und Akzeptanz von queeren Menschen. Es ist die größte Demonstration dieser Art im süddeutschen Raum, angeführt von Oberbürgermeister. Die PolitParade startet am Mariahilfplatz in
der Au, damit der Demonstrationszug eindrucksvoll über die Isar in die Stadt einlaufen kann.
