Christian rebirth involves a complete renewal of a person’s identity. One of the major tensions for those born of the Spirit consists in living as a new creation in a fallen world. During times of cultural crisis in particular, the temptation is to call for recovery efforts of various kinds—concerted efforts to "take back" what has been lost. God’s people are in the unique position of speaking a prophetic word to such ambitions. We are not called to conquer or vanquish the world, but to overcome it for Christ’s sake:
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5)
Join us this summer for a week of rich teaching, spiritual renewal, and Christ-centered fellowship.
The C.S. Lewis Institute Summer Academy is designed for men and women who long to grow deeper in their faith, strengthen their ability to think clearly about today’s pressing cultural questions, and deepen their devotion to Jesus in every area of life.
Hosted in an environment that encourages reflection, community, and worship, the Summer Academy brings together world-class teachers and thoughtful believers to pursue God together.
Throughout the week, participants will engage in daily Bible teaching, interactive seminars, and evening conversations shaped by Scripture and rooted in historic Christian wisdom. The Summer Academy will emphasize the integration of heart and mind, cultivating both spiritual formation and theological depth.
Whether you are a new disciple of Jesus or you have walked with Christ for decades, the Summer Academy offers a space to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged. In addition to teaching, the Academy provides intentional community: shared meals, prayer opportunities, and unhurried time for fellowship and reflection. These rhythms create an environment where friendships can form naturally, and lasting spiritual growth can take root. This is an all too rare opportunity to step away from the noise of daily life and focus wholly on what matters most—knowing God and becoming like Him.
Teachers scheduled to speak at the Summer Academy include Jerry Root, Kevin Vanhoozer, Andy Bannister, Stuart McAllister, Matthew Milliner, Sylvie Vanhoozer, Stuart McAlpine, Cameron McAllister, Nathan Rittenhouse, and more.
We invite you to join us for this transformative week. Come learn, rest, ask hard questions, and rediscover the joy and certainty of life in Christ.
