Participants can have their outdoor space certified as a healthy habitat by local botanical specialists, and join a network of pocket nature preserves that support our local wildlife.

If you’re interested in participating in Growing Home™, but aren’t sure where to start, join us on Thursday, July 10th at 6:00pm at BSU’s Environmental Education Center. We will offer a deep dive into the criteria for creating a healthy habitat at home. See examples of solutions from program participants, ask questions of our Growing Home™ committee, and learn more about composting at home as a conservation practice. We will also give away native wildflower seeds (while supplies last) that are perfect for a backyard habitat!
