Ready to learn the advanced techniques and dive deep into the world of Allen & Heath digital consoles? The join our staff and industry expert and Allen and Heath Rep Steve Gridsby for the advanced concepts workshop on Allen & Heath digital mixing consoles. 
 Learn more features and advanced configurations.  In this  workshop you will learn how to take your mix to the next level as we take you even deeper into digital consoles.   This course is designed for those who will complete our fundamentals / beginner class or have prior basic experience in digital mixing.   Whether you're a seasoned pro want to get to know Allen & Heath better or an up and coming / aspiring sound technician this clinic is for you! Whether you are working with live concerts, house of worship sound, theater, podcasts, corporate, sports, or as a hobbiest, this session will give you more advanced tools to create clean, balanced, and professional mixes starting from square one.  
We’ll break down key concepts including console configuration, signal path and routing, networking multiple consoles for main/monitor desk configs, tie lines, DCA's, mute groups, configuring stage boxes,  gain staging, and advanced features of EQ, compression, gating, and the effective use of effects like reverb and delay.  You’ll learn how to squeeze all the features out of your console and discover tools you probably didn't know it had. We will touch on Dante at a very basic level too.  You will learn how to set up hot keys for custom one touch tools like tap tempo, fx mutes, etc.  This is not a lecture, it's hands on!  You will be sitting at an Allen and Heath digital console (QU, SQ, Avantis) and working through guided demonstrations and practical examples, you’ll gain a deep understanding of how each element shapes your sound—and how they all work together in a cohesive mix.
What You’ll Learn:
    •    Console configuration
    •    Signal path and routing including tie lines 
    •    Networking multiple consoles for main/monitor desk configs
    •    When to use DCA's vs Groups
    •    Using Mute groups for faster mixing
    •    Gain staging and digital trim
    •    A deeper dive into advanced features of EQ, compression, gating
 
No prior experience required—just bring your curiosity and love for sound!

There are limited seats in front of a console for the hands on training, please call 7657440751 to RSVP to reserve your seat. If all console seats are full, we will still welcome everyone to listen to the training as well! If the class fills up early we may add 3pm sessions as well. This is subject to change.
