Expectations from this trip:
- This is a backpack trip. We will travel in shared jeeps. We will choose a place of accommodation based on the group's opinion and the expertise of the group leader.
- Expect only simple vegetarian meals in your package.
- Drinking and smoking is not allowed on trips for two logical reasons. First - we are going to a place which is considered sacred by Hindus and Sikhs and we don’t want to hurt their sentiment. Secondly drinking is not recommended in any trek and smoking can be dangerous due to sudden change in altitude. Please don’t debate further on this issue.
- Our daily schedule during trips may differ from our usual daily life schedule with respect to day chores, tea timing, food timing etc. Please don’t complain about these petty issues.
- Respect the local people and their culture. We try to learn more from them about the place.
- Most of our decisions will be based on the group's opinion but the decision of the group leader will be final. You are expected to proactively be involved in helping the team.

Little info:
Valley of Flowers: Emerald mountain ranges, green meadows and white clouds fuse to create a dreamlike locale called Valley of Flowers. It is perched at an altitude of 3658m, where you may spot animals like Asiatic black deer, snow leopard, musk deer, red fox, brown bear and blue sheep. It’s a core zone of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve and myriad alpine flowers make this place a colorful paradise. Pushpawati River bifurcates the valley into two parts. Cascading waterfalls are abundant while you’re traversing towards the valley. Declared as the National Park in 1982, the pristine beauty, mystical surroundings lures nature lovers, photographers and botanists.
Valley of Flowers remains covered with a thick blanket of snow during the winter season. It is in full bloom during July, August and September.

Hemkund Sahib: Hemkund Sahib is the world’s highest Gurudwara, situated at an altitude of 13500 feet. The Dasam Granth says God ordered Sikh Guru Gobind Singh to take birth while he was in deep meditation at the mount of Hemkund. Hemkund Sahib is always cold throughout the year. It is accessible only for 4 months in a year from June to September and the rest of the time it is full of snow. The weather at Hemkund Sahib changes very rapidly.
