Travellers keen to see and experience the places in Leh are also welcome to join this group. Master Photographer’s Profile ARPAN KALITAArpan is a multiple award winning travel and landscape photographer Arpan is the Vice President and Exhibition Director of Photography Club of Assam. Having judged numerous competitions and conducted many workshops to bring out the best in the travel photographers. Arpan’s photographs have been regularly published in some of the world renowned magazines like Nat Geo Traveller India, NorthEast Today,lonelyplanetondia, WildTrail Journal, etc. Arpan is know to highlight the best a place has to offer, the vibrancy of the landscapes, the architectural grandeur of monuments or the warmth and friendliness of its people. Roads lesser travelled amazes him with their aroma of unfamiliarity while places visited often holds the excitement of discovering something new every single time.He is a master photographer and has been accompanying fellow travellers for a decade and honing their skills of travel photography. Check out some of his work in the link belowhttps://500px.com/arpankalita  TRAVEL Day 1: Arrive at LehArrival by early morning flight and straightaway we will move to the hotel rooms. This will be an easy day for acclimatisation. An evening visit to Shanti Stupa high up the town will help us better understand the weather outside and also will give you glimpse of the weather for upcoming days. Photography participants will be briefed about the upcoming days and possibilities of photographing the snow filled landscapes. Day 2: Visit to Chilling We will start our trip on a light mode and travel through the NH1 alongside the partially frozen Indus river upto Sangam, and will further venture into Zanskar gorge upto Chilling. We might also get a chance to walk in the half frozen Zanskar river.  After the first day of acclamation at Leh, this will further help us acclimatise as the route is gradually steep only. This day will warm us up for the upcoming adventures of next few days. Day 3: Drive to Pangong This will be an amazing day and amazing ride through the snow filled terrains. We will leave early and start driving towards Pangong Lake through Chang La. On our way, we will drive through the temporary settlements of shepherds grazing their sheep. The view of Pangong Tso, frozen as if a slate of ice is being placed over it will for sure leave us speechless.  Day 4: Drive towards Tso Moriri We will drive to Tso Moriri Lake today, along with the partially frozen IndusRiver. At places where the river surface is solid ice, we will once again see beautiful patterns and trapped air bubbles creating interesting formations. We will spend the night at the hot springs of Chumathang Village Day 5: Tso Moriri and ice fields of Changthang We will drive through the vast unending snow fields of Chagthang Plains on our way to Tso Moriri. At Korzok Village, we will get to see the harshness of winters as everything apart from day to day activities are being put on hold. But life remains busy and  happy. We will head towards the lake which is somemiles away from the village. Day 6: Drive Back to Leh We will start our drive back to Leh after early breakfast taking a detour to Puga, a semi nomadic settlement and place for a some majestic hot springs. We will reach Leh by evening. Day 7: Leh local sight seeing We will walk around Leh at our own lesiure and shoot some locals  Day 8: Fly back Early morning we will head back to airportInclusions:Accommodation (Twin sharing) for all days.
