Roles, Rights and Responsibilities in Education
Roles, Rights and Responsibilities in Education” epitomizes on the philosophy “With great power comes greater responsibility” but along with this another concern arises whether we are prepared to accept the change or are hostile towards it. It is a common norm to hold the teachers and school authorities responsible for the education of our children but there is a bigger picture to it. The time has come that each and every individual realize their roles and fulfill their responsibilities towards education. This includes teachers, school authorities, parents, students and the larger community as well. However, the first step lies in understanding the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder in the field of education. This consortium organised by Parisar Asha will aim at bringing in forefront these nuances which will make the wheel of education more effective and robust.
This initiative is being supported by Kolkata based not for profit organization Deenabandhu Trust. Deenabandhu Trust is working towards improving communities by bringing about new innovations through its unique model called STEM. The acronym STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. It is an integrated and activity based learning method which combines the basic concepts of science and model making experience to help students innovate and solve real life problems using low cost material available in and around the neighbourhood.
