Sameer is a visual artist and photographer, currently based out of Mumbai, India. His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in India and abroad at Museums, Photography Biennial and film festivals.
His work largely involves humour and play with a fictional approach and is often interlaced with a documentary and an imaginary eye. Presently, his photographs are part of collections internationally in Museums and private art collectors.
This workshop is an exciting take on the medium of photography, through learning how to operate a camera and understanding how to compose a photograph. It will touch upon the basics of play of light, camera angles and understanding the environment you shoot. Participants will dive into the world of photography through camera components and will have group discussions to help them build better visuals. On location guided photography assignments will help the participants put to practice the information gained from the workshop. This workshop is a part of our BOMBAY – 101 photography exhibition which is our humble ode to the city we all love..!! Participants are requested to carry their own preferred choice of camera for the workshop.
