Marathi Vangmayacha Ghaliv Itihas" is a delightful literary creation by P. L. Deshpande. This book, an expanded version of a lengthy article published in "Mauj,", renowned for its profound, literary, and thought-provoking humour. Although P.L. couldn't write further installments due to health issues and age, this single work showcases the brilliance of his intellect and wit.

On the occasion of P. L. Deshpande’s birth centenary, this one-hour performance introduces today’s generation to P. L’s unique brand of ‘serious’ humor. Along with the spirit of the original work, the play also brings in some of his other beloved characters, weaving together contemporary realities with the excluded history of Marathi literature.
