Kitab Khana presents a celebration of poetry this September. Kitab Khana is proud to host the 100 thousand poets for change festival for the fifth time, in association with National Street for Performing Arts (NSPA foundation). Poetry at Sangam, the US Consulate General, AVITOKO Room Theatre and well know educationist Rati Dady Wadia.

Writing in Troubled Times: A poetry at Sangam programme
Indian and International poetry in english, with translations from Marathi, French, Urdu, Japenses and Bangla from the pages of Sangam, Coordinated by Priya Sarukkai Chabria. Readings by Arun Babani, Hemant Divate, Menka Shivdasani,Mustansar Dalvi, Nivedita Shekar, Sampurna Chatterji and Vibha Kamat. Also featuring Roselyn Sibille, Iqbal, Joy Goswami, Shizuko Suzuki, Maria Rilke,Adil Jussawala and more With a live music performance by artistes from the Natural streets for performing arts fondation.

Readings on Women Empowerment: A US consulate General event 
Readings by Arundhati Subramaniam, Harnidh Kaur, Maya Sharma Sriram and Ramya Pandyan. Plus a special segment featuring reading from Veils, Halos and Shackles, A significant anthology edited by senior Americian poet Charles Ades Fishman and Smita Sahay. Participants include Pervin Saket, Sampurna Chatterji,Kamalakar Bhat, Jane Bhandaari and Smita Sahay
Plus, Music by Natural streets for Performing Arts Foundation

“Popcorn Breasts in a popcorn World” by AVITOKO Room  Theatre
Vibha Rani puts together a bouquet of various shades of life through poetry. Highlights include ‘Popcorn Breasts’, a theatrical musical presentation of poems from poetry collection CAN,under the series of celebrating cancer by Megha Sriram, Gaurav Singh, Ravi Bhushan. Plus, Vibha Rani’s Shaadi Mein Gaali Geeton ki Ravayat ( (Teasing songs of Mithila), and presentations by Nirmal Kant Chaudhary, Yunus Khan,Mamta Singh, Imroz Alam, Chitra Desai and Master Jadoo. Also,a screening of shiva, Ashok Patel’s short film
