ECHO will host V.I.V.E.K (UK) and Delhi Sultanate (BFR) in the city of dreams this November.
Conceptualised with the aim of introducing sound culture to Delhi’s audio-heads, the club night outlines the evolution of bass right from the early days of dub, dancehall and reggae to the glory days of dubstep and grime in the 90s through tunes selected by Delhi-based DJs Moniker and Alter State, along with reggae and dancehall MC and selector; Delhi Sultanate.
Launched in 2015 this will be ECHO’s 8th edition. Prepare yourselves for the freshest roots dubplates and cut-throat basslines, room shaking wubs and pure, no-nonsense dubstep.
Considered a dubstep pioneer, the British-Indian producer Vivek Sharda has stayed true to the 140 BPM tempo and is dedicated to the original dubstep vibe: oceanic sub-bass, parties akin to tribal gatherings, stacks of dubplates, soundsystems that have the power to rattle teeth and snap ribs.
**BFR SOUND SYSTEM**
BFR Sound System is owned and operated by Indian reggae artists Delhi Sultanate and Begum X. (aka Samara Chopra), lead singers of The Ska Vengers and co-founders of Word Sound Power.
Entry: Rs 300 B4 11pm / Rs 500 After 11pm
