Book Reading & Discussion – Treasure at the Train Station
Join Joeanna as she reads from her book – Treasure at the Train Station – and takes our young readers through a virtual tour of VT through a slide show. She will also take you on a quick picture-ride through some of the most fascinating railway stations in the world and acquaint them with their history and legends.
Shortly after, Ritu, one of the book's illustrators, will introduce readers to the fine art of illustrating for children's books.
About the Book
Here’s a magical story that takes young readers on a wild ride with a lively bunch of characters – the animal sculptures on the walls of Victoria Terminus, today's CSMT. Meet the monkeys, mongeese, owls and egrets that spring to life every night to chat, run races and even a foil a robbery!
At the heart of the book is also a missing jewel, a grandfather, his twin grandchildren, and the fabulous city of Bombay or Mumbai. Like parallel railway tracks, both stories begin and end at the station, meeting in a wonderful twist of fate.

Joeanna Rebello Fernandes has worked as a journalist for several years. She calls Bombay home, even though she lives in Gurgaon. This is her first story for children. She believes old buildings are the quickest way to time-travel.
