Join us for the opening celebration of Between Flight and Footstep, featuring the artwork of Lisa Elder Willman, on Thursday, March 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Celebrate the debut of this thoughtful and visually rich exhibition with an evening of art, community, and conversation. Refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome to attend.
Lisa Willman is a Central Florida artist, educator, and arts advocate whose work centers on printmaking and ceramics. Currently teaching at Mulberry Senior High School, she has built a highly successful program guiding students toward scholarships and careers in the arts, while also serving as an AP Art and Design reader and mentor for fellow educators.
Working primarily with linoleum block prints enhanced by watercolor, acrylic paint, marker, and colored pencil, Willman creates one-of-a-kind mixed media pieces filled with dynamic line, intricate patterns, and vibrant color. Between Flight and Footstep reflects the experiences and transitions that shape a life, exploring the quiet intersections of nature, memory, and everyday moments. Through carved lines and layered ink, each piece invites viewers to pause, observe, and find poetry in the spaces between movement and stillness.
