Wisconsin is home to 11 species of turtles, each with unique adaptations, behaviors, and important roles within our ecosystems. During this program, Land Management Director Helen Holtz will introduce participants to Wisconsin’s turtles and highlight the turtles that call the Mukwonago River watershed their home.

You’ll learn about the turtles that depend on this special river system, the challenges they face, and how conservation efforts help protect these ancient reptiles and the habitats they need to survive.
