Meet the dedicated Putta Bucca Landcarers, learn about the incredible work they're doing to care for this special place, and roll up your sleeves to help plant native species that will benefit local wildlife for years to come.

There's something for everyone, come and get involved with our workshops & talks on the day:

PROGRAM
ALL DAY: Watershed Landcare Hub: Drop in and chat to our legendary Landcarers, we will have resources available, raffle tickets & plants for sale and a fun activity for kids and adults alike. Help us create a collaborative artwork to celebrate Landcare Week!

10:15AM Talk / Opening
Grab your coffee and doughnuts and hear from Chair of Watershed Landcare Bruce Christie to kick off the day
Julie Reynolds will reveal the new and exciting Putta Bucca Weltalnds Bird guide. Get a copy of this limited edition resource which identifies the many birds that call the wetlands home.

10:45AM: Workshop 
Threads of Life: Discover how every living thing is connected.
With Michael & Cheryl Nielsen. This is a fun, interactive workshop all about ecosystems to get you thinking.

11:30AM: Workshop
Planting Habitat: Get your hands dirty and plant a grass or a shrub to grow the habitat and beauty of the wetlands. BYO gloves and tool if you can (we will have extras available)
Learn a about the Putta Bucca Landcarers and their amazing work along the way.

12:30PM: Lunch Time. Delicious hot soup and sourdough (complimentary with ticket). RSVP Essential

1PM: Talk
Better Bush For Birds: Learn about the latest research and best practices when it comes to creating bird habitat and planning revegetation projects.
Take home some great advice, resources and ideas for planting in your garden or paddock.

1:45PM: Walk & Talk
Plant ID Walk with with legendary local expert and Botanist Chris McRae:
Learn the basics of Plant ID, get a copy of our handy ID guide, and take a walk to practice identifying common species in the wetlands.

Bird ID Walk & Wetlands History with Mark Leary:
Take a walk with Mark Leary, see what birds are about on the day and learn some interesting things about how the Wetlands became what it is today.
