This year we are going full on Wicker Man. We are also asking those who attend to bring along your very own handmade animal masks to join in with our procession up the hill to the Lyne Hares stone circle which over looks May Hill and the surrounding countryside. We have the amazing solo artist GREET as our guest performer prior to our performance. The May Queen will be crowned, we will have dances, some will include fire as well as our Green Man dance which we will only be performing at Beltane each year. There will be tunes and a song from the film, rituals, customs & traditions too for you all to take part in, a maypole for us all to dance around as well as a few folk beasts.We will end the evening with the burning of our Wicker Man effigy.So come cut some capers and play the fool for the day as we welcome in the summer.• Bar & food available throughout.• Guest artist GREET.• Dances, songs, tunes and ceremonies.• Stone circle, Maypole, folk beasts and plenty of fire.• Wicker Man burning.The ritual begins at 6pm, don't be late...Important information:• This is a ticketed event, we will not be selling tickets on the gate or allowing entry to anyone without a pre brought tickets this is so we keep to our capacity.• Gates open at 4pm for campers, 5pm for parking and not before, they will then be closed at 6pm & reopened after our performance 9:30pm.• Please car share or bring small vehicles to help us with parking.• All vehicles in the car park must be off site by 11:30pm.• No alcohol to be brought onto site, please support the venue.• Performance starts at 6pm.• All children to be supervised at all times.• Only well behaved dogs allowed which must be kept on a lead at all times due to live stock being in the fields.• Dress appropriately for the weather.•There will be a fire and smoke as part of our ceremonies and dance so please be aware of this.* Disclaimer: Blackthorn Ritualistic Folk and Lyne Down Organics take no responsibility for, and expressly disclaims all liability for damages of any kind including personal injury, vehicle and property damage.
