We aren't just eating—we’re building a legacy! This year, we are hosting a Soul Food Contest & Community Cookbook Event, and we want YOUR signature dish to be the star of the show

Think your mac-n-cheese is the best in Mt. Vernon? Does your cornbread melt in your mouth? Enter for a chance to win bragging rights and amazing prizes:

? Build a Community Cookbook

This event is about more than just winning; it’s about sharing. We are asking every contestant to provide printed copies of their recipe. Guests will be able to collect these recipes throughout the event to create their very own Southtown Soul Food Cookbook to take home and enjoy with their families for years to come!

Prepared Dishes: Please bring one fully prepared, covered dish ready to serve.
Taste Testing: Bring small serving cups so our guests can sample your masterpiece!
Share the Secret: Bring simple, step-by-step printed instructions (including ingredients) for the recipe-sharing station.
