-Entrants from 2025 have between 01/25/2026 (first Sunday Classic of 2026, trios in Terre Haute, Indiana) until 03/01/2026 to prepay their entry fee and hold their spots. Open to everyone else starting on 03/02/2026.

-Entry fee: $80.00 UNTIL 3/20/26 5PM
***$85.00 if calling bowling center to prepay for debit/credit processing
-after 3/20/26 5pm and/or if walk in entries available, entry fee $100.00

Maximum of the first 104 PAID entries (We will start accepting prepaid entries 1/25).

Payment methods...
1. Call NuBowl 6182420300, ask for Brandon “BMAC” and pay with card over the phone (EXTRA $5 credit card fee will apply for the bowling center). You must call weekdays and by 5:00pm, not after.
2. Pay CASH to Joe LaBotte personally OR to Tim LaBotte at the Herrin Bowl
3. Pay CHECK made out to Nu Bowl Lanes and they receive it by 3/1/26, no checks the week before the event will be accepted.
4. NO PAYPAL/CASH APP/VENMO

No refund on entries after March 1 unless we fill your spot if you need to withdraw.

Handicap based on 90% of 210, using your highest BETWEEN your completed season average from 2024-2025 (24 games or more) UNLESS your current 2025-2026 average. (24 game minimum). Maximum pins per game of 36. The tournament director has the right to adjust any average of any player to whatever is deemed appropriate and proper. College averages are NOT accepted.
*** You must provide proof of average from the current season as well to receive the proper handicap. You can use last season’s average only if you can provide information that shows you are not 10 pins above last season. Failure to do this may increase your book average by at least 10 pins. We are estimating possibly 104 bowlers, please provide this via text or Facebook messenger to the tournament director Joe LaBotte prior to the week before the tournament date.

Format: All players roll 3 games skipping 3 pairs to the right after game 1, skipping 4 pairs right after game 2. We then cut to the top 64 for the March Madness bracket (if less than 64 players, some higher seeds may receive a first round bye). All bracket matches are one game, you must win at least one possibly two matches to cash (depending on entries), until we have one bowler standing! If less than 64 entries, higher seeds will receive byes based on entries. For example, if there are 61 entries, qualifiers #1, #2 and #3 would receive the byes. Also, all ties during match play will be decided by a 9th and 10th frame roll-off with handicap, with a maximum score of 60. Ties in the standings will go by how it prints unless it is for the 64th spot, then a roll off will occur as well.

We will be using the Nu Bowl “house” shot pattern with a ratio of 8:1 or more for this event.

1. $1,000.00, 2. $600.00, 3-4. $300.00, 5-8. $180.00, 9-16. $125.00, 17-32. $103.00

Brackets scratch and handicap plus forward and backward available (only three games qualifying, brackets will run forward 1-3 and reverse 3-1) will be available during the first round of qualifying prior to the bracket format. There will also be a scratch and handicap series jackpots plus scratch/handicap game jackpots available for the qualifying round.

Between the end of qualifying and before the bracket begins, we will have a "shoot a spare" intermission. During qualifying, we will sell tickets to have a chance to pick up a random spare. The money raised from the "shoot a spare" jackpot will be added back into the March Madness prize fund. In 2025, we sold over $600+ in tickets. Many have said this portion is the most fun intermission they have ever experienced at a bowling tournament!

104 maximum entries allowed for this event (4 on a lane, using lanes 1-26, 27-28 will be reserved as a breakdown pair).
