- **Event Description**: The Oscar-Nominated Shorts are returning to The Bijou for a second year! Bring a friend and make plans to attend one, two, or all three programs to experience the best Live Action, Documentary, and Animated short films of 2026. If you've never attended a screening of short films on a big screen, you are in for a treat! 

When you arrive you'll receive a paper ballot to cast your vote for Best Short in each program. We'll collect your ballots and after the Oscars on March 15th we'll award prizes to the patrons whose predictions were correct. 

*SCHEDULE*
Thursday, February 19th
1pm: Animation ($6 matinee)
6pm: Live Action

Friday, February 20th 
1pm: Live Action ($6 matinee)
6pm: Documentary 

Saturday, February 21st
4pm: Animation
6pm: Documentary

Sunday, February 22nd 
3pm: Live Action

Please note that all of the short films are Not Rated. The Animated program includes some films with disturbing and mature content and may not be suitable for children under 13. It runs for 83 minutes. The Documentary program should be treated as if Rated R and runs for 158 minutes. The Live Action program includes some films with adult language, adult themes and sensual images and is recommended for persons 17 and up. It runs for 120 minutes.

Tickets may be purchased in advance, or just show up! Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. No cards are accepted in the theater - cash, check, or Venmo only.
